The AMPLIFY! October Newsletter is live! Here is a quick resource recap for you.

The October newsletter highlights the various projects completed and upcoming at AMPLIFY! This month has been busy, and a chance to reaffirm our mission to stand with African American and African Immigrant communities through tailored resources and leadership development to help all claim their voice, however that looks.  In this season of harvest and reflection, let us remember: community isn’t just where we work — it’s who we serve. At AMPLIFY!, we believe collective action is our strongest tool. Together, we stay connected, empowered, and amplify our impact.


Breaking Free Day Kickoff

AMPLIFY! and Breaking Free came together for the Breaking Free Nicotine Liberation Summit ahead of the November 17th Breaking Free Day. The summit featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Karen Beard, certified tobacco treatment specialists, and Carol McGruder AMPLIFY! Project Director and AATCLC Co-Chair, and covered topics like moving beyond traditional cessation, the Free and Proud Nicotine Liberation Framework, and More. Check out Summit resources below.


Community Engagement Activity Award is Out!

If you are a California-based, African American/African Immigrant organization looking to mix tobacco prevention and community town hall meetings, apply to the Community Engagement Activity Award for the opportunity to receive up to $3500! Applications will close on November 19th.
